PUFF \ S-T 1969 -

Bio:
PUFF was the 1969 extension-group of the Rockin Ramrods with songs written by founding Ramrods
leader Ron Campisi and featured guitarist-vocalist David Allen Ryan (later of Sha Na Na) and jazz flutist/keyboardist Jim Mandell.
The sound of the group was a marked departure from the Rockin' Ramrods. It was softer, more experimental, and for the first time introduced jazz, blues and classical themes into their music.

THE TANGERINE ZOO \ S-T 1968.

Bio.
The year was 1966, the town was Swansea, Mass. located 50 miles south of Boston. Three Zoo members Benny, Donald and Tony along with two brothers from nearby Warren, R.I. came together to form the band called The EBB TIDES.
All members had come from other local garage bands (Batmen, Rogues & Rockin Teens). The band changed it's name to the Flower Pot.
The newly formed band was soon ready to hit the club scene under new management and a whole fuller sound featuring a Hammond B3 organ and added rhythm guitar.
February 1968 the long awaited LP as TANGERINE ZOO and single is released. Seven of the nine songs are original songs written by the band. Six of these are psychedelic arrangements.

Ironically, the song that was recorded and left off the album was a song written by Harry Nilsson called "One" which in three months later sprung the group Three Dog Night. The song, the Flight is the most played song by radio and fans of garage psych music even today.

FLAT EARTH SOCIETY - WALEECO 1968 -

FLAT EARTH SOCIETY \ WALEECO 1968.

A few..
The Flat Earth Society
were a Boston, MA group formed by Jack Kerivan (piano, organ, vocals), Phil Dubuque (rhythm guitar, recorder, lead vocals), Rick Doyle (lead guitar, tambourine, vocals), Curt Girard (drums), and Paul Carter (bass , vocals).
Among the crown jewels of sought after 1960’s american psychedelic records The Flat Earth Society’s "Waleeco" is a legendary album that more than lives up to its reputation.
Recorded in 1968 for of all things a candy bar manufacturer (Waleeco being the name of the said confection) the album was only made available to candy fiends that sent in a few wrappers and $1.50. anyone lucky enough to take advantage of that offer obtained a beautiful psychedelic rock/pop masterpiece that took in everything from dreamy West Coast styled acid rock, laid back acoustic folk, driving garage psych rock and full on trippy psychedelia.
