BILLY COBHAM - 1973 Spectrum
A few words for Billy Cobham:
Generally acclaimed as fusion's greatest drummer William C. Cobham was born May 16, 1944, in Panama, where as a very young child he became fascinated with the percussion instruments his cousins played.He worked with Miles Davis,John MacLaughlin,George Benson,Stanley Turrentine,Freddie Hubbard,Grover Washington jr.With ex-Mahavishnu Jan Hummer formed his band SPECTRUM and his debut was the selftitled album in 1973 with Tommy Bolin and John Scofield.Later he played with Grateful Dead,Jack Bruce,Peter Gabriel and then formed a quartet called Glass Menagerie and then Paradox and then Nordic and finally i believe Jazz is dead.
