S R C \ S - T 1968.

A few words:
Along with the Stooges, MC5, and the Amboy Dukes, SRC was a group of local heroes of the Michigan rock scene in the late '60s and early '70s.

Line up:

  1. I saw these guys regularly in the 60's when I lived in Dee-troit. One of my favorite bands from that city, I think this first lp is one the best prog-rock lp's of the era!

    This original and visonary lp was worked for 2 years before this recording. Guitarist Gary Quackinbush just blisters his fingers all over this session. My favorites are "One Simple Task", "Madrigal", and "Black Sheep". The latter got local radio airplay after the band re-recorded it for a single (included here).

    After this lp, it was on to trying to get a hit. They were a great band live, and got the best looking groupies back then (the MC-5 got the worst looking).
